Muslim Groups Shut Down Free Speech at Columbia, Princeton by Pamela Geller, November 25th 2009.
Nonie Darwish, the executive director of Former Muslims United and author of "Cruel And Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law," was scheduled to speak at Columbia and Princeton Universities last week, but both events were canceled under pressure from Muslim groups on campus.
Columbia, where Ahmadinejad was welcomed like a returning king.

Geller is off base with the “returning king” comment. The president of Columbia took the opportunity of that appearance to excoriate Ahmadinejad – to his face – in front of a global audience.
It was also during that night that Ahmadinejad made the statement that homosexuals don’t exist in Iran, which provided proof positive to untold millions that this buffoon has zero intelligence, much less credibility. Thanks to free speech and Columbia’s refusal to buckle under pressure, Ahmadinejad was given enough rope to publicly hang himself.
It’s shameful and cowardly that the organizers cancelled Darwish’s events. If they had in fact realized hours before her appearance that they were not in agreement with her views, they could have taken the opportunity to engage Darwish in a healthy debate regarding them.
